Jane Raven is an artist who set up her own design and production workshop in Edinburgh eight years ago. Having completed a diploma in Decorative Arts at City and Guilds of London Art School in 1998, she has continued to practice the course’s philosophy of producing ‘functional art’ by launching her wide range of glassware.
Each piece is stencilled and sandblasted by hand, which is why it cannot be produced for a mass market. Having shown her work in galleries around Scotland, she now has clients in countries as diverse as Argentina, America, The Caribbean, China and Australia.
Although a complete departure from glass, Jane’s stone work complements her glassware range perfectly and includes initialled pebbles and personalised wedding, anniversary or christening stones.
