If you are anything
like the rest of us, you have dozens of great photos that only see the light
of day on rare occasions when you feel like reminiscing. A portrait of your
son at age three for example, or that old photo of your grandparent's homestead
taken in winter.
If you are
fortunate enough to have memorable photographs like these, imagine having
an oil painting of that scene hanging above your mantle or other prominent
place in your home or office.
The purpose of this site is to offer my services, which include
over 25 years of experience in painting, and make it easy for you
to commission a work of art. The painting techniques that I use
are my interpretation of traditional methods that have been developed
by artists for hundreds of years.
Why are we attracted to a work of art?
No one knows exactly what attracts us to a particular
piece of art. But I believe whether we are conscious of it or not,
a favorite work reminds us either of something we have seen before
or something that is familiar to us.
Sometimes it may remind us of a particular artist or
style that we are fond of, but usually it is because it reminds us
of a pleasant memory or event.
Commemorating these
experiences with a traditional oil painting is a unique expression of respect
and admiration for a time or event that, while it may never come around
again, it can be shared over and over by your family and descendants. Art
is a great investment, and these days it may be the best value you can find
online.

Snapshot To Heirloom Paintings are hand-painted traditional
oil paintings done in a realistic manner. These are NOT digitally
reproduced and printed on canvas as you may find on many other web
sites. They are painted using much the same methods and techniques
that have been used by artists for centuries.
