An 18th century French pocket corkscrew with gold sheath and patterned hard-stone handle in its original gold-mounted shagreen etui. There are 18th century marks struck on the base of the sheath. Sold. 
Thos. Lund's 1838 bottle grips patent (#7,761) in full-barrel King's screw form. Marked on base of barrel: "LUND 57 CORNHILL" and on two of the bottle grips "LONDON" and "PATENTEE". One bottle grip has been repaired--see image. Sold. 
Coney's 1854 English patent (#1,811). The patent involves a divided shaft with a notched engagement between upper part of shaft and the projection or clutch, which extends from the stem of the screw. It is marked "PATENT' on the neck ring. A four-post King's screw with faceting and beaded pillars. 
Two versions of Mabson's 1869 English patent: On top is a seldom-seen "Mabson" marked example with a bronze barrel that was made by James Heeley & Sons. It is in superb condition, with little, if any, evidence of use. The other unsigned example with internal springs. Both have been sold. 
Tucker's single lever 1878 US patent (#207,631) corkscrew. Marked on the arm: "PAT'D SEP 3 1878". Woodman's 1886 US patent (#344,556), which was granted on June 29,1886; oddly enough, all Woodman's are marred "PATD JANUARY 6, 1886". Both have been sold. 
Brown's 1895 US patent (#547, 478) corkscrew. This corkscrew allows the user to preset the depth of penetration. Clough 1868 US patent "Power Cone" and Curley's 1884 US patent in the scarce all steel version of with sliding bell . Marked on top of handle: "CURLEY PT'D". Curley has been sold.
