Steve Irwin Tribute Mosaic Mural for Australia Zoo - a gift to Terri Irwin & Australia Zoo from mosaic addicts group and mosaic artists worldwide!
For 2 years mosaics were sent DownUnder to Sandy's Mosaic Studio and finally all have been pieced together to make the most stunning, unique mosaic panels. Visit the Zoo to see them up close and personal! 
The 11 mosaic mural panels have been completed and delivered to Australia Zoo for the Steve Irwin Mosaic Tribute gift from mosaic artists worldwide and the mosaic addicts yahoo group! Congratulations to all involved.

The mural team attended Australia Zoo on 15-11-2008 for Steve Irwin Day! 4 of the murals have been installed, the other panels will be installed in due course at the zoo. We enjoyed meeting so many people at the zoo. If you wish to know when the remaining murals are mounted on the Zoo walls, please ring Australia Zoo, if you are planning to visit before Christmas to see your mural donation in the mural.

CONGRATULATIONS TO KARALEE STATE SCHOOL:
The Mosaic "Everybody Learning Seat" won the Gold Award in the Ipswich City Council Awards of Excellence, announced in August 2008. The school received a monetary award, a perpetual trophy and another engraved trophy. Sandy Robertson was the artist in residence during the mosaic making and installation - and was proud to take part in such a wonderful community art/Qld Art Built-in program. To all the students who were involved, the teachers, the parents and friends, a huge thank you and well done!

View mosaics made on mosaic fibreglass mesh for the mosaic mural gift for Australia Zoo (hundreds of mosaics from around the world). The Steve Irwin Mosaic Tribute mural will be very beautiful. Discussions are underway for the location at Australia Zoo. Updates will be given when the installation space is confirmed and work will then proceed on the mosaic fabrication, expected to take many months at OzMosaics studio.
