The black thing is what most people call the cross bearing used in many different Wind Petal™ designs. You can call or email for a replacement cross bearing. Apparently squirrels and grass gremlins eat cross bearings. Cross bearings also get kidnapped during the winter in that dark hole called the garage. Customizing: As you look through the designs, especially the Kinetic sculptures, keep in mind that I can customize to fit your situation. This would be such things as changing the base, deleting the base, making a new kind of base, using different metal, or changing size. Some of the changes I make don't cost anything because it is a trade off. In other cases there is an additional charge. What I'm saying is think about what you want and contact me if you have any questions about changes or customizing.
